Richard Wilson - Powerhouse Vocalist of Gokseong

Richard Wilson started as a rock/hardrock drummer at an early age. He's played everything from Jazz fusion to punk to heavy and thrash metal, pop and grunge. He quit playing drums and later switched to guitar and vocals. With bands like Floodhorse, Master Massive and later Mourning Scars he is trying to push himself as a musician and songwriter. As a challenge and a bit of a joke he tried to write a black metal song and it turned out to start the project Dead Deceased. While not exactly being Black metal per se Dead Deceased could be described as blackened thrash!
As a vocalist for Gokseong Richard tries to lean more against the thrash metal roots! Vocalists like Mille Petrozza, Peter Dolving, Michael Stanne and Tompa Lindberg are some of his vocal influences for this project. Richard will also play leads, arrange and mix the songs for Gokseong. Chris brandons' heavy riffs will evoke a vocal line and from there the song will take its' form and structure. The lyrics are made up from themes of South Korean folklore provided by Chris. Richard will try to write something by reading up on the different stories at hand.
